Hi-Energy Gantry Cargo & Vehicle Non-Intrusive Inspection System

The VXG-6 is a hi-energy gantry X-ray inspection system designed to verify the contents of cargo carrying vehicles, ISO containers, large cargo and palletized goods. It provides high-penetration imaging to help identify hidden contraband such as weapons, explosives and narcotics.

Feature highlights

  • High penetration. Hi-energy X-ray technology provides 330 mm of steel penetration for effective inspection of vehicles, containers and large cargo.
  • Full vehicle inspection. The VXG-6 is designed to scan the whole vehicle, including the driver’s cabin, providing comprehensive bumper-to-bumper inspection.
  • High throughput. The system provides up to 25 target scans per hour, with an option for Portal Mode capable of screening up to 120 target scans per hour.
  • Effective imaging. High-performance X-ray imaging provides 1 mm wire resolution in air and 4 mm horizontal and vertical spatial resolution.
  • Material discrimination. 4-color minimum material separation helps distinguish between Organic, Inorganic, Light Metals and Heavy Metals.

Overview

The VXG-6 is a gantry hi-energy, non-intrusive screening system designed to verify the contents of cargo carrying vehicles, ISO containers, large cargo and palletized goods and identify hidden contraband such as weapons, explosives and narcotics.

The system is mounted on rails and is designed to scan the whole vehicle, including the driver’s cabin. The vehicle driver leaves the vehicle and remains outside the Safety Exclusion Zone and VXG-6 System Building, providing a complete bumper-to-bumper inspection.

The VXG-6 is delivered, installed and commissioned with the equipment required to perform inspections at critical national infrastructure locations, particularly border crossings and sea or dry port environments.
