The IMS4 AWOS measures, processes, stores, presents and communicates meteorological data at the airport.
The system combines measurements produced by meteorological sensors, manual observations and WMO codes received through GTS and AFTN, providing real-time weather information to observers, air traffic control, pilots and other airport users.
The IMS4 AWOS uses an expandable system architecture suitable for different airport environments.
